What is involved in a damp and timber survey?
A full damp and timber survey usually starts with an external inspection of the property with particular attention paid to the roof, the water management systems, the condition of the masonry and the walls. Inside the surveyor usually starts with a survey of the roof structure and then works down.
During the damp and timber survey, every effort is made not to disturb the property and at this stage there should not be any undue mess.
What makes our damp and timber survey different?
At White Preservation, we like to invest in the latest diagnostic technology to assist our damp and timber surveyors during your damp and timber survey. This enables our damp and timber surveyors to take photographic and graphical evidence of the problems affecting your property. This is great for you for two reasons:
- Often damage is hidden and a customer must take the word of a damp and timber expert as to its extent of the problem. Having visual evidence allows you to make more of a balanced judgement as to the next action to take.
- Our damp and timber surveyor is able to be far more precise in his predictions about the extent and cost of works. This reduces uncertainty, disruption and cost throughout a project.
What about the Survey Report?
All of our damp and timber survey reports can be email or posted to you at an address that is convenient for you. Please contact your local branch to find out more information.
